We spent exactly 1.5 days in Miami, and if I were planning our trip again, I would definitely add one more day. We loved it so much – the atmosphere is amazing and you immediately feel like you’re on vacation! ☀️
And about the nature… while it’s beautiful and definitely worth exploring a bit, after everything we saw later during our trip, I would probably skip nature activities in Miami next time and focus fully on the city/beach attractions.
Here’s a little recap of our stay:
Accommodation – We stayed at Sonder the Deco in Miami Beach, just a 10-minute walk from the beach 🏖️ – a really great choice! I booked it way in advance, and the price was fantastic. Such a pleasant place!
Miami Beach – A must-see! The iconic colorful lifeguard towers, lizards, iguanas, interesting bird species, and of course, the wide beautiful beach. At the end of it, you’ll find the South Pointe Park Pier with a really nice view.
Ocean Drive – Also a must! Art Deco architecture at its finest!
Food – For breakfast, we went to Cafe Americano ☕, for coffee and delicious pastries go to Bettant Bakery & Café 🥐, and for lunch, don’t miss Coyotaco in Wynwood – the tacos were incredible! 🌮
Wynwood Art District – You have to visit! 🎨 Stunning murals, cool hidden corners, and such a great vibe – we loved it.
Nature – Besides the beautiful beaches and parks, you can also head to Oleta River State Park, rent a kayak 🛶 at Oleta River Outdoor Center, and paddle through the mangrove forests.
They say you might spot manatees, dolphins 🐬, or even sharks, but we only saw a few cool bird species – still, it was such an amazing experience!
Miami – 100% recommend! ✨
