🌼I’m sick in bed and just scrolled through my photos from March. It looks like it was quite a busy month – but isn’t it always?
We visited the Balloon Museum as a whole family this time, and the kids loved it! I also went to a singing workshop in Poland, which was so beautiful and nourishing. We were surprised by a bit of winter there, sang many lovely songs, and - most importantly - I got to spend time with dear friends.
Back in Berlin, we explored some museums and playgrounds. I also went to London with my son to meet my sister and her son, who’s the same age. Sadly, the cousins don’t get to see each other often enough.🫂
🌸What makes me happy right now is that spring has already arrived here - I’m so looking forward to this time!
Hope you had a lovely March too!

✨ Have you heard of @clavis_schule in Berlin?
It’s a beautiful learning space in Prenzlauer Berg where kids can explore art, theater, science, and digital design in a playful and inspiring way.

We joined one of the classes and felt the energy right away - it’s creative, warm, and thoughtfully guided. And guess what? You can book a free trial class to get the vibe for yourself!

We recently visited the Werkbundarchiv – Museum der Dinge @museumderdinge , a museum dedicated to the design history of everyday mass-produced objects from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Even though there’s literally nothing made for kids, we still enjoyed it - looking at some truly weird items and chatting about them. My daughters brought notebooks and loved drawing their favorite finds.

The museum also offers kids’ workshops from time to time, so it’s worth checking their schedule.
🎟️ Tickets: €6 for adults, kids go free.

Tip: After your visit, head to the playground next door – Spielplatz am Auswärtigen Amt – a great spot for kids to run and play!

🚨3 FREE exhibitions in Berlin – perfect for kids!🚨

Rainy day? Bored kids? No budget? No problem! These 3 exhibitions are not only free but also super interesting for families:

📍 Spore Initiative (Hermannstraße 86, 12051 Berlin) @spore.initiative
A hidden gem I just discovered! Beautiful, touching exhibitions, a cozy book corner for kids, a lovely space for parents to relax, and even a café. They also organize workshops, and the architecture is just stunning!

📍 Humboldt Forum (Schloßplatz 1, 10178 Berlin) @humboldtforum
Two exhibitions here are completely free: After Nature & Ethnological Collections & Asian Art. They’re super interactive, full of fascinating info, and there are special areas just for families. Plus, there’s a free booklet for kids! Perfect for a rainy day.

📍 James-Simon-Galerie (Bodestraße 1-3, 10178 Berlin)
The Planet Africa exhibition (until 27.04.2025) is packed with interactive elements and a fun booklet for kids to explore. Super engaging and something different!

📌 Save this post for your next family outing & let me know if you’ve been to any of these!

🌱 Recently, we visited the „Stadt, Natur, Mensch” exhibition. Although it’s quite small, it’s very well presented and offers interesting insights into the relationship between cities and nature, as well as the important role of Kleingärten. 🌿🏙 My girls enjoyed the interactive elements, and there were definitely a few things that caught our attention.

If you’re nearby and interested in urban ecology, it’s a nice stop!
🎟 Tickets: €6 for adults, €2.50 for kids.
🕒 Opening times: Tues, Thurs, Sat | 11:00–17:00
📍 Where? Bundeszentrum, Hermannstraße 186, 12049 Berlin-Neukölln

🩵 @namuk in Estonia ❄️🌲🌊🏙️
During our stay in Estonia, it was pretty chilly - and as you know, we love exploring, so we didn’t slow down 🐌. We hiked through snowy forest bogs, wandered along the seaside, and took endless strolls through the city.
And not once did Mira complain about being cold or wet - @namuk clothes really do their job, whether in the city or out in nature 🩵

Last week we visited a new installation WE FELT A STAR DYING — and wow, what an experience! ✨
The installation commissioned by @las_artfoundation is located inside Kraftwerk Berlin, a place that already makes a huge impression with its raw industrial vibe — and then comes the installation itself, where science meets art in the most magical way.

It’s such a brilliant way to introduce kids (and adults!) to quantum physics — through light, sound, movement, and even scent! My kids especially enjoyed the exploration guide made just for children, helping them dive into this surreal world in a fun, interactive way.

Good to know for families:

✅ Kids under 18 enter for free

✅ Special family visiting hours on Tuesdays from 11:00–14:00

If you’re curious about how a dying star might feel — and want to experience quantum entanglement through art — this is the place to go. Highly recommended! 🌌

📍 Location: Kraftwerk Berlin

📅 Open until: 4 May 2025

🕒 Opening Hours:

Tuesday – Friday: 15:00–21:00

Saturday & Sunday: 12:00–20:00

Family Hours: Tuesdays 11:00–14:00

🎟 Tickets: €12 (Regular) | €8 (Reduced) | Free for anyone under 18
