I’ve seen @mountmitte so many times from the tram window and always thought it looked really, really cool. A high ropes course in the middle of the city? Wow!
We finally tried it and it was just as good as expected. 😍

🌳 Different courses and difficulty levels
🌳 Really nice, relaxed vibe
🌳 Right next to Nordbahnhof, super easy to reach by public transport

Definitely a place worth adding to your Berlin bucket list!

[Anzeige] I think most people living in Berlin have already heard of @futuriumd - Berlin’s free House of Futures. But have you heard about Futurium Kids?

Futurium Kids is a special programme created for children and families, making a visit even more interactive and engaging.

Our highlight was definitely the Kids’ Guide. Together with Nubi, the digital ghost, children move independently through the exhibition, look for marked stations, listen to stories and answer quiz questions along the way. My daughter loved sharing everything she had learned after each stop - which probably says a lot about how engaging it is. Kids who complete the quiz even receive a small surprise.

But there’s much more to discover:

The Berliner Stadtbibliothek @zlb_berlin is celebrating its 125th anniversary and for this occasion they are organizing a huge courtyard festival in Mitte - with lots of activities prepared especially for kids and families.

Some highlights from the program:

🎤 Donald Duck live show with the official German voice actor + a funny “quacking workshop”

🎪 huge circus play area with juggling, balancing games, giant soap bubbles and activities for the whole family

📚 creative workshops where kids can make and decorate their own notebooks

🐘 family storytelling workshops inspired by children’s books

👀 readings and stories connected to Berlin’s history and the Berlin Wall

🍦 and yes - there will also be an ice cream truck

We’ve walked past this climbing wall in Mauerpark so many times…
and every time I felt a little sad thinking it wasn’t really for us.
Our daughter climbs, but we don’t - and we don’t know how to belay - so it always felt out of reach.

Then one day I saw a post from @dav_alpinclub_berlin about free climbing meet‑ups as part of the @sportimpark_berlin program.
We went today for the first time and… wow. What an amazing initiative.

There were two experienced, super friendly instructors who explained everything, showed how it works and took care of the belaying. My daughter has been climbing for a few years already, but you can absolutely come even if you have zero experience and it’s your very first try. The instructors will guide you step by step and make you feel safe and supported.

And the best part?
It happens three days a week in three different locations across Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg, Spandau and Marzahn - so you can choose the spot that works best for you.

Such a cool experience 😍

Can a climbing hall get any cooler? 👀

We recently visited the @urbanapes.berlin.fhain - located inside the former wine cellar of Böhmisches Brauhaus, where wine for the DDR elite used to be stored 🍷

Today it’s Berlin’s biggest bouldering gym - with a family area, routes for different levels and a really cool industrial architecture.

What we liked most? It’s not only for experienced climbers. There’s a space for smaller kids, but also more challenging routes in the family area which my daughter had a lot of fun trying out 💙

Super friendly staff, very original place and definitely worth checking out!
